Well, for today’s Proverbs 31 featured guest, we’ll hear from the one on our team who would play Mary if we put on a live nativity, the very pregnant Whitney Capps:

Whitney is a mom-in-the-trenches to her three little fellas-Cooper, Dylan and Ryder.
She and husband Chad are awaiting the “any minute now” arrival of their fourth son, Tate.
She’s a funky, fresh gal eager to share her frailties  and follies as wife and mom to help others along the way.
Her passion is helping her kids fear and follow the everyday, accessible God.
Fun facts about Whit: her favorite Christmas soundtrack is Chris Tomlin’s Glory in the Highest CD; she has never tasted fruit cake and loves Christmas “party” food.
Hop over to her blog today to get a Tate update and spend a little more time with Whit…

For her giveaway today, she is offering $30 worth of merchandise from our Proverbs 31 online store.

  1. So many….Do You Hear What I Hear, The Christmas Song, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year….just to name a few.

  2. In general, I love The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting)., but I also love Go Fish’s version of Silent Night – my son used to sing the words as “Sky at night, holy night, homeschool, all’s bright….”

  3. My Favorite Christmas CD is by “Mercy Me” I Love their Song on this CD “I Heard the Bells” I Love this Songs Message concerning Peace and how it seems that Evil prevails, at times, and we think God does not see or hear( i.e. and in despair i bowed my head, there is no peace on Earth i said.) but it goes on to say later in the song.” God is not Dead nor does He sleep.” what a message. Our God is Alive and in Control!!! Amen? We were challenged to seek a word for the New Year this Year by our Pastor amd mine? was “Transformation” i have and have been learning that i need to Love People as Jesus Did, even if they wrong me, or may be offended by me even when i felt a comment was not wrong or intended for them. I Read, recently, in Gods’ Word that we need to Seek Peace and Pursue it. I have learned, i lack in this area, and that if a person is offended that i need to Love Them and understand then, even though i may think it is unfounded, that i need to watch comments and Love People. This Year Has been a Beautiful Journey of God pursuing Me, showing me His Love,Helping Me to Heal, to Forgive, To Love, because That is what Jesus Did. I was asked today what my Word would be for next year. I am not sure. Please pray with me what it would be, I kind of think it may be along the lines of the above concerning Love and Peace. God is Love. He is Awesome, and i could not do any Good in this World without His Help, i could not Make it in this Life without Him!!! Praise God!!!! Amen!!!!!:)

  4. I love all the Christmas songs and carols so it is hard to choose just one, but i would have to say Silent Night. When i hear it or sing it i just close my eyes and i can almost feel myself being transported back in time and then i’m there watching God’s plan unfold. The fear and awe of the shepherds as they saw that bright, bright star in the heavens and the angels singing above them, Glory to God in the highest!! The excitement and anticipation of the Wisemen as they journeyed together in their quest to find the Christ child. Joseph and Mary so tenderly caring for baby Jesus in the quietness of that lowly stable and the wonder and awe that they must have felt and yet also a touch of fear at the task that lay ahead of them in raising God’s holy son. What a breathtaking and glorious time. Christ the Savior is Born!

  5. O Holy Night… in a church we attended in Great Falls MT, three wonderful women sang this song in such a way that hearts were moved, skin tingled, and tears fell.

  6. I love music period and Christmas music is a favorite. My most favorite Christmas song is Mary Did You Know. preferably sung by Michael English……..
