It’s a Wrap!

Well, with my wardrobe packed (of Goodwill Finds, resale shop specials and a few pair of shoes from TJ Maxx my friend Janee helped me find) I headed off to Grand Rapids, MI.

Now, after three days of what can best be described as complete and total nerve-wracking fun, the filming for LET. IT. GO how to Stop Running the Show & Start Walking in Faith  is a wrap!!!

I had a blast getting all gussied up but was also relieved when, on Thursday night, I was back in my element sitting on the sidelines of my son Mitch’s travel baseball game. (His team was playing in Grand Rapids that night. In fact, God worked all the details out and no one had a game any of the nights I was gone. Yippee!)

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers. I am very anxious to get this message out to women of how to stop trying to control things and start trusting God.  It is one I have had to learn the hard way and I hope to save the rest of you the trouble. ;-)

See you all on Monday!

Okay…here is the studio:

And some of the audience. (pssst…my friend Janee who dressed me is the one with her hand on her neck and my accountability partner Mary is in the pink. The publisher puts the audience together but I got to sneak them in):

Me in make-up:

The finished, pur-ti-fied product waiting in the green room (and it was even green! Most I’ve been in have been some other color. Go figure!):

My producer:

My nerves:

One of the three fabulous camera dudes:

My Zondervan curriculum editor and fun friend Robin: (a story about her daughter made it in the taping):

My wonderful executive assistant Kim. She is over half my brain and I couldn’t do this without her. (Don’t let the fancy-pants title throw you. She’s actually a dear friend and prayer warrior who works for me for basically a free weekend away now and then and all the coffee she can drink and airport food she wants!):

When it was all wrapped up, I headed to my favorite summertime spot. Behind home plate:

God is so good! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

  3. I’m looking forward to reading this book! It’s a lesson God has been drumming into me for years. However, I must say, my favorite place has always been on the edge of whatever soccer field my kids were playing on. I miss being a soccer mom (my youngest turned 26 in April…)

  5. Most definitely looking forward to the study!!! I, too, learned the hard way about letting go of control when God decided to bless our car accident that threw our life, our home, and all that we knew upside down with my being in hospital for a month and left my husband with a fractured stenum. Boys miracelously only had bruises. I had to let go of my control over kids’ schedule, my control over our house organization, my control over errands, my control over even my body (could not even wipe my own bottom for weeks!), my control of buying house with my huband (the same week of our accident!), and so on and on.

Thanks for sharing the cool pictures!!!
