  1. Karen,

I think I need a copy of your book now! I cannot wait to read it and thank you for sharing your wisdom with me on Glynnis Whitwer’s blog the past two weeks!

  2. Thank you for sharing from your experience and from your heart. I think rewarding the effort is a new tact I will take., especially for my younger son who does not do quite as well as his gifted older brother.

  3. Thank you for your encouragement! Following God’s Word to train our children and raise them in this world takes alot of patience and encouragement for each other. I would just again like to thank you and also ask that you pray for my children’s teachers. They attend a Christian school and the teachers are just amazing. I would just ask that you will pray for encouragement, strength and wisdom for them. They are so devoted to our students. Thank you and have a great weekend!

  4. Very good series. I have three grandchildren in school this year. Praying it will be a great year for all the children in schools this year. Blessings

  5. This has been a helpful series. It is easy to put note in my girls lunches I make, but my son eat school lunch. So, I text him. I forgot my wallet at home when I took one of my daughters shopping yesterday, so after dropping off my son at school I drove to the market and they had “buy 2 get 2 free” candy at the check-stand. I hurried back and gave him the lunch bag for his Cross Country meet. Then I text from the parking lot: ” 4 candies to share B) <3 Mom" Hopefully that excused the appearance of "You forgot your lunch".

  6. @Janet I pray that your granddaughter can grow in her focus on what can be enjoyed at school while learning to tolerate what isn’t so much enjoyable. It is truly hard for many 5 year-olds with our without learning specialties to sit as long as many Kindergarten classes require so keep an understanding ear for your granddaughter while continuing to promote acceptance of the expectations of the class. There was a whole year that I focused on the fact with my son that at least they got to go outside or have 30 minutes of free time each day. That didn’t make the year “great” but made it survivable. Blessings.

  7. What a nice prayer from Laura for the troubled kids in school who as she said often do not have a very warm and loving homelife much less someone praying for them. I work in a school system and I try to be at least one person who has said hello to them with warmth and ask how they are doing regardless what their reputation might be. Blessings to you. Laura as your children continue to grow and meet their new adventures with each new day and each new age.

  8. Please pray for my 5 year old granddaughter Jezlynn. She just started kindergarten and does not like it at all. She says her teacher is mean because she won’t let her do what she wants to do. We have all tried to explain to her that she always has to listen to the teacher but she is not buying that. She does have some learning disabilities and will be starting next Monday 1/2 day in kindergarten and 1/2 day in a special class. We know she can do it and are trying to help her see that. Thank you for your prayers.

  9. Thank you so much for sharing your back to school series.. I am a mother of a soon to be 17 year old and a 11 week old infant. Being a mother has it’s challenges no matter what age the child is. Today I want o encourage prayer not only for the young preschool and grade school kids but for our teenagers as well. What these young adults are facing is scary. Also, pray for the troubled kids in school, they most often don’t have a home life, let alone any one praying on there behalf. Blessing to all the mothers out there, keep up the good work,
