For Day Eleven, let’s take a teacher down memory lane.

Join Karen Ehman for 12 Days of Christmas Kindness + Giveaways! 12 simple ideas inspired by her new book, Listen Love Repeat.

Hunt down a former teacher on Facebook and tell them one thing you remember most about them. Or maybe they are still teaching in a school close by. Jot a quick note of appreciation and drop it off at the school office. You can even use one of the pre-printed or blank cards featured here to help you deliver your sentiment.

  1. I asked my kids, who are in college, do also do this with their elementary teachers. They are connected via social media with so many so won’t be too hard!

  2. As a teacher, this means so much to me. There is seriously nothing kinder and sweeter than an old student bringing me a note saying how much they like me and how I’m their favorite. Teachers can get so defeated and wonder sometimes if they really are making a difference. Telling an old teacher thank you will go a long way!!

  3. This one is great and may require sending the note as not too many of my teachers are on Facebook. So thought about it and I am going to take a different approach and thank my Mom. She was my eight grade math teacher and of course taught me about life all the years!! I would not be who I am without her!!!

  4. I completely lost contact with all my school contacts from elementary school, so I did this with my high school band director. He likes keeping up to date with us!
