We’re Off!!!!!!

Those of you in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, watch for my daughter’s 1999 Buick Sabre. Light tan. Michigan plates. It just may roll into your neighborhood in the next few days.

Kenzie and I are off to speak at an afternoon of encouragement for homeschool moms in the Cincinnati, Ohio area on Saturday. What fun we will have. I can hardly wait! I am in need of a little R & R myself, which I fully intend to get between sessions. If you are a homeschool mom, click on the link above if you’d like to attend this free afternoon!

After the conference, we are headed to Tennessee to check out a few colleges and visit a few friends. I’d appreciate your prayers for safety and health and for the Ehman guys while we are gone. Todd will have fifth and eighth grade subjects to teach, two basketball games to get the boys to, clean uniforms and all and a total of 17 meals to make. Even though I am leaving them with a stocked pantry, I’m sure the local pizza parlor will be kept plenty busy and our local Wal-Mart just might run out of Peanut Butter Captain Crunch!!!

I’ll try to hop on and post while I am on the road. And please, oh please….tell me it is warmer down there than here!!!!

Sweet Headed-South Blessings,

Karen

Karen: I’m just north of Cincinnati and it’s 46 here today, but it’s supposed to cool off tomorrow. I hope it’s warmer in KY & TN.

Enjoy your mother/daughter trip, and God bless !!

      Karen -
Enjoy your visit through Cincinnati. It’s a great city. I am just north of there and south of you in a suburb of Toledo. I am a new homeschooling mom this year and knew that you would be speaking there today. I was so hoping to attend – but other responsibilities are keeping me busy. Anyway, enjoy! I am certain you and everyone attending will be blessed by what you have to say today.

    • Hi Karen,

I enjoyed hearing you speak today. Thanks for coming down to Cinti! I had not realized who you were when I registered to attend, but after I saw your book table, I realized I had checked out two of your books from the library and really enjoyed them last year! It was great to hear you speak in person. :) Have a good trip south, and enjoy the warmer weather!

Hey Karen-Heard you speak today at the conference, and it was exactly what I needed to hear!!!! You have reenergized a very tired mom of two very strong-willed boys. Thank you so very much, and have a very safe and wonderful time with your daughter!

      Hello!

I was at the conference yesterday, and I really appreciated the honest raw truth of your story, and honestly, I don’t know many women who can’t relate to that (but who’s comparing, right? :-) ) It was what I needed to hear in my life right now. I thought I would be hearing a ton of homeschooling “pep talk” information, but what you shared applies to LIFE, and for that I am thankful. God bless you as you continue in your journey, and as you encourage others. Michelle

I heard you speak yesterday in Cincinnati. What a blessing…practical and spiritually encouraging. Thank you for allowing God to use you…for courageously sharing your story with transparency. It’s also refreshing to hear that there are”role model” Christian women out there whose children are not always perfect :) .

Thank you also to your daughter for building up the Body of Christ by using her gifts of signing.

      Hi Karen,
I really enjoyed your conference on Saturday in Cinci.
And your daughter brought me to tears. You see my daughter used to dance just like your daughter for the Lord. It was beautiful. Well, she is now 20 years old and out in California in college and has lost her love for the Lord.
I didn’t have the privilege of homeschooling my girl like I have been my 2 little boys. The world got her heart and now I am praying everyday for her heart to turn back to GOD. I know she will return, it’s just hard knowing she’s away from HIM.
Would you ask your beautiful daughter Kensie to pray for my daughter Andrea?
Thanks and blessings to you and yours,
      Lori

Hi Karen, I’ve been praying for you! I’m wondering how your husband’s job search is going?
