Our Thanksgiving meal consisted of "fried mullet, cheese grits, baked beans and hush puppies". Now those of you not on the Gulf Coast may wonder about meal but it was great. . .and less filling. :)

No difference on the scale this week for me, which was a little surprise because I was very busy and bypassed LOTS of yummy desserts and candies at our ladies' Advent event. In fact, if anything, I probably ate too little because of a hectic schedule.

Still have MUCH to be thankful for!

Great job, Karen and others who were able to lose! To all: God bless your week even when you feel weak! We want strong, healthy bodies. Will be praying!

Somehow I managed to lose 2.8 lbs this week. Praise the Lord!
I did good on Thanksgiving and didn't stuff myself. I adjusted some of my recipes with fat free evap. milk and egg subsitute and they turned out great. It was the week-end that was difficult for me with family staying over and we ate out. I really blew it when we had pizza. I ate and ate, then ate some more. Just couldn't help my self. Now that that is behind me I am back on track. Karen, I must tell you that your crustless pumpkin pie is so very delish. It was a big hit with all my family. In fact my husband wants me to bake another one.
Debbie, I will add your recipe to my collection of muffin recipes. It sounds so easy to make and we like pumpkin just about anyway it can be fixed. Thanks for sharing.
Ok girls, lets make it a great week as we continue on this journey.

Ok, I held steady over the holiday. But really realized (like someone said earlier--the pain of staying the same is worse than the pain of change). I started my food journal, seriously can't keep it in my head. and I started exercising--my goal is for daily, but in reality, min of 5 times per week on the eliptical. I'm also ordering a kettleball exercise tape.

tonight we had an office christmas party, I indulged and had two peanut butter bars and I enjoyed every ounce. I think I learned thatnext time one treat would be fine. Old habits are hard to break--almost unconscious--but I did enjoy them and no guilt.

Though the scale didn't change, I'm going to try another restart. Note to self: STOP SNACKING every time you walk near the pantry door. UGH UGH UGH

Way to go Karen! You ROCK (if my my kids were here they would be rolling their eyes right now)!!!

I'm going to say restart...things have been a little stressful with a number of things going on. But God is still God. I'm glad you held on Karen and thanks for the encouragement & prayers. Not going to mention the numbers, but I know God and you all are on my side and it's only a matter of time.

I'm hitting the restart button. I'm soo overwhelmed with this weight loss stuff. I don't seem to be getting any traction, up and down etc. So, I'm definately hitting the restart button.

Till next week-
