Caramel Apple Dip
Welcome to those visiting here from my appearance on Adventures in the Kitchen with Cheri Liefeld. (the rest of you you can listen to the show by clicking this link). Be sure to hop over there. There is a giveaway of two of my books: Homespun Memories for the Heart (which I wrote with Trish Smith & Kelly Hovermale) and A Life that Says Welcome.
Here is the Caramel Apple Dip Recipe I talked about on the program:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup coarsely chopped dry roasted salted peanuts
Blend all but peanuts until smooth. Just before serving, fold in peanuts. Serve with a tart eating apple such as Cortland, Granny Smith, Braeburn or Gala. To keep sliced apples from turning brown, soak in lemon-lime pop and drain. Enjoy!!

This recipe sounds delicious!
I’m going to try this right now…a little time before Hannah comes home hugrey from her first day back in school! Thanks for the yummy idea!
I’ve been given lots of suggestions to keep sliced apples from turning brown but I never heard of soaking them in lemon-lime pop before! I’m going to have to try it! Thanks!
Love the tip about soaking apples in pop! Never heard that one before
I’m definitely going to be making the dip, too. Great fall treat
THANKS!!
Made it yesterday- kids and I enjoyed it.
