Midwest Seven Layer Salad

Ingredients
For the dressing: (you may need to double if making a large bowl)
Mix:
2
cups
real mayonaise
3
tbsp
white vinegar
3
tbsp
sugar
¼
tsp
pepper
¼
tsp
salt
Thin with a little milk, if desired.
Instructions
In a clear bowl or trifle dish, layer the following:
Iceberg lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
Chopped green peppers
Sliced water chestnuts, drained
Frozen peas, slightly thawed
Red onions, finely chopped
Then, spoon on the dressing (recipe above).
Finally top with remaining layers:
Cooked, crumbled bacon
Shredded, extra-sharp cheddar cheese
Layer it up and dish it out. So good!
