Tea for Three!!!

Whew!!!!

That is all I can say right now about the fabulous time that over 560 of us experienced at the Proverbs 31 She Speaks conference this past weekend. I’d love to up give a full report, however, after a delay out of Charlotte, I arrived home late last night to an unpacked home that must be quickly packed and moved…….. in 8 short days!!!!!!!! Also, we have a child who heads to camp in the morning and one who was kidnapped by my friend Lysa to hang with her family for the week so she is unable to help. Thankfully, she packed up her room before she left so not as to give her mom more grey hairs!!

So…… alas, my boxes are calling and my son’s suitcase must be packed. I’ll try real hard to hop on later this week and update you all. And by that I mean ‘you all’ not ‘y’all’. I’m afraid that just five short days in the south has corrupted my daughter’s speech. I heard reports of her using that phrase just yesterday!!! YIKES!!! Will someone get that girl back to the Midwest. And fast!!!!

Seriously, thanks so much for all of you who prayed for me. I felt your prayers like never before.

Now, for the winners of the tea from Mari Helms at Tea and Traditions, chosen by random number integer, the winners are:

Rebecca Tyndal

Sara

Christy H.

Congrats ladies! Please email Mari at [email protected] to give her your mailing address.

And, any of you who wanted a sample tea, email Mari your name and address, along with the type of tea, and she’ll get you a sample to try.

My five minutes are up! Catch y’all later

Oops!!!

Sweet Tea Sipping Blessings,

Karen

  1. What a cool story and a wonderful business. I love tea! Green tea with a little sugar and half and half is one of my favorites, a good chai with cream, I love Numi’s flowering teas…the list goes on and on. I always serve guests tea, I agree that it makes them feel special, and it opens up conversation. I love talking to a good friend with a warm cup of delicious tea in your hands. Or reading God’s Word or another good book while enjoying a cup of tea is great, too.

  2. Karen,

Thank you for your work at She Speaks! God is soooo good! I am the one who won your book on Saturday morning. Funny thing was, as they were describing the book before they announced the winner, I leaned over to my daughter to say, “Hey, WE could write that book!” God recognized an opportunity to combat my pride :) and my name was drawn! Needless to say, I read the book cover-to-cover already (without doing the exercises, which I WILL get back to) because I knew God had something in there for me. And He did. He blessed me. You are amazing. More on that later.

I have something for you in return, but will need to get your address (and I read it will be a new address!) to send it to you. Don’t worry, it will be a week or two before it is ready, so you should be settled in by then. :) If you prefer, I can take it down to the P31 office (I live in Charlotte) and have them send it so as not to reveal your address (in case you worry that I am an unsavory character!)

    email: [email protected]

Blessings to you and prayers for your move. I’m sure every box is color-coded to match up with a coordinating floorplan of the new digs. :)

    Happy to have heard you,
    Touched by your teachings,
    Lisa Roszler

  3. Hey Karen – thanks again for being a shoulder to cry on…LITERALLY this weekend! I loved your talk and appreciate your heart.

Also-I found myself sporting a southern accent while talking at one point in the weekend…and I too am from the midwest. Oh dear. But we must be honest, those southern women are just so cute! : )

Thanks for letting the love of Christ shine from you! I’m praying for you as you pack and move. Should I pray that God will slow time or speed up your hands as you pack?! : )

  4. Karen,

What a blessing the whole weekend was! Thank you for making my journey a bit sweeter. I will keep you in prayer the next few weeks as you pack up. We never stop being moms, do we?
My new friend God Bless and don’t forget to take some sweet time just for you and the Father.
    Hugs,
    Diane Applewhite

  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I pray that your packing and moving goes smoothly! I’m assuming that all has gone well with inspections and closings. Praise God that He is giving you the desire of your heart and moving you into another house!

    Prayers and Blessings!
    Rebecca

  6. Karen,
So glad to hear you returned home safely. I praise God for the lives that were changed this weekend. I will be praying for you this week as you pack up and move. May He give you strength for each moment.

    Blessings,
    Pearls
