Friday Organizing Giveaway–Times Two!!!!
Not a lot of time to post today. I have one of those jam-packed weekends. All good—-but full of activity.
~My boys are having four friends from Detroit over for the weekend.
~My hubby and daughter are headed here from NC. (She’s coming home for a month.Yippee!!)
~I leave for a speaking event at the wonderful Lake Ann Camp Saturday morning (being put on by the fablous gals at Growing Women ministries.)
~Mitch has a double-header Saturday morning.
~The annual Davis Harvest party is Saturday night—hundreds of folks for an old-fashioned-hay-riding-donuts-and-cider eating-bonfire-and-square-dancing grand ole’ time. (My kids love this day almost as much as Christmas!) Todd will be taking the troops there for a fun-filled outing.
~More teens join us (Kenz’s friends) Saturday evening for an overnight, bringing the total count of people in our home to over 17!
~More of the Weekend Magazine radio spots I’ve recorded will run on Focus on the Family this weekend. If your local radio station doesn’t carry this program, click here to listen in!
~I will return home Sunday, hopefully in time for church, but very tuckered out!!
So today’s post is a simple giveaway. Hop on over to my P31 sister Renee Swope’s site where she’s featuring an interview with me about my book The Complete Guide to Getting and Staying Organized. See you next week. Got some topics to tackle you won’t want to miss! Happy Weekend.
I am hoping that our house will stay dry and avoid the flood that we are experiencing in Southern MN. We live on a river and have received 12 inches of rain in 24 hours as have most of the other surrounding communities. There are nearby towns in complete wreckage and almost every home inhabitable. I am spending my weekend close to my family and praying for those who have not fared so well.
I need a copy of your book big time! I’m a piler not a filer. My unorganization is driving my family crazy! HELP!!!

It is hard to find time to organize when you are trying keep up with kids and their busy schedules! hockey, soccer, friends. I would love to read the book! (and chocolate is awesome)
Yes, I could use some help with organizing. Hope your weekend was wonderful
i will finally be home this weekend so my plans include spending time with my hubby. mostly we will be working around the house on various projects but will take time out for some fun too!
Love dark chocolate….it’s my favorite! What a great gift to go along with a great sounding book!
I am so thrilled you get to spend a month with sweet Kenz!! ENJOY every minute.
Praying God uses you mightily this weekend as you speak and minister to His flock.
This weekend I’m working on a baby blanket for my new niece!
Today is my anniversary- my husband and I are celebrating 6 years. We were able to go out for dinner last night and today are just spending time with the kids, running errands, and enjoying time together. Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday so we will go over after church for cake and presents!
My weekend is busy as well!! Today, I baked 2 cakes and then spent the afternoon at an indoor fleamarket, getting rid of some of our “baby” stuff. Tomorrow, my daughters track event, a birthday party, a “potato fest”, and then a song release party…oh yeah and before all that I have to bake another cake. I think I will be glad when Monday gets here. :) And this is my vacation!!
I could so use some organizing and planning tips…sounds like a great book!!
Oh my gosh!! I need to get organized this has been on my mind for awhile now, that’s why I took a week off in October to get organized ecspecially the closets in the house, I really need to de-cluuter. I can really use this book. God help me de-clutter my home! I know I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength! Thank you for posting Proverbs 31 is the best! Karen is too. ;) Blessings, always.
Oh, how I wish my life was organized! I’m past the children-at-home stage, and STILL my life is disorganized! It’s just me and my husband, and I don’t have a “regular” job, but my life is still a mess. How do I do it??! I certainly hope I win the book, because I can’t afford to buy it (another area of organization challenges?). Thanks for the opportunity!
Karen…thanks for this op, my house could use your help! To the average eye, I likely look as if I have it all together, but oh boy-don’t go in my basement or garage!
I will be celebrating a birthday of a friends later today, then tomorrow church, right now, I’m in bed trying to keep a cold coming on any stronger! Enjoy your time w/ your daughter! See you soon.
I know you must be excited to have your daughter come home for an nice visit and fall is so beautiful. I will be praying you hvae many special moments together. I would love to win your prize…I can’t tell you how badly I need to work on my organization of our home. Blessings to you, Caroline
Going to spend the day knitting with our youngest daughter. She and I are just learning to knit. Then Sundays are Church, Choir practice, and Church.
If I win this book I will be giving it away to either my daughter or daughter-in-law. They have very busy lives!
84 and sunny in Maryland, out for a fall festival with the kids, a scroll book report to finish, and football Sunday. Have a wonderful weekend.
Oh yes, time to start that pot of chili!
My biggest challenge is all the mail and junk that clutter my table and window seal. It stacks up so fast and I have not been able to conquer this issue. Any help you can give is a blessing. Thank you this chance for a copy of your book and chocolate. What a great combination!
I have looked at this book at every Hearts-At-Home National convention, but never bought it. This must be destiny!
Wow, 2 chances to win! How “sweet”! This weekend is a relaxing one for me, little bit of housework, little bit of laundry, little bit of reading, little bit of blogging, and alot of watching Alabama and Auburn play on TV! Sunday of course will be Church, lunch with friends, then home for more relaxation! Haven’t had one of these in a while!! Bring it on!
I am going to take my girls (4 & 6 yrs) to our churches Fall Festival tomorrow. We will eat breakfast there and then shop some crafts and then the kids will bounce themselves into oblivion in the rented bounce houses. :)
