  1. As a busy SAHM of 3 & 5 yr old daughthers I often run out of steam about 2:30 in the afternoon. My girls no longer nap and I miss my quiet time. I was, for awhile, jaded into thinking a Dr. Pepper or a sugary snack was what I needed. Both provided a temorary pick me up and then left me even more tired about the time I needed to prepare supper.
    So….. I have implemented quiet time. For 30 minutes (longer if they fall asleep) my girls look at books or color in their beds while I put my feet up and have a no-guilt cup of tea while I read or just relax my eyes and ears. It’s good for all of us. I find that my girls get along better after a short break from me and eachother and I’m better able to face everyone’s needs and wishes for the rest of the day!
