She Makes It Look “Breezy” Giveaway With Marybeth Whalen
Note: Due to a few glitches over the weekend when my site was unavailable, I have decided to leave this post & giveaway up until Wednesday. Also, if you still want to hop on my Facebook study on time & home organization based on my book, click here:
Ever looked at another woman and silently whispered to God, “Uh….I think I’ll take what she’s having, please”.
Yes, on the surface ‘she’ seems to have it all–good looks, a nicer-than-yours home, a solid marriage, better-behaved-than-yours kiddos and that natural knack at living life well with her canned goods alphabetized and never a dvd late fee or missed appointment.
She makes life look like a breeze while you? Well, you feel the whirl winds of life are about to knock you over and blow you completely away!
I’ve been there. I’m still there sometimes. How about you?
When will we ever learn that the grass isn’t greener on the other side? The grass is actually greener where you are careful to place the sprinkler, spread a little Miracle Grow and be intentional to pull your own weeds!
Ariel Baxter has just moved into the neighborhood of her dreams. The chaos of domestic life and the loneliness of motherhood, however, moved with her. Then she meets her neighbor, Justine Miller.
Justine ushers Ariel into a world of clutter-free houses, fresh-baked bread, homemade crafts, neighborhood playdates, and organization techniques designed to make marriage better and parenting manageable.
Soon Ariel realizes thereย is hope for peace, friendship, and clean kitchen counters. But when rumors start to circulate about Justineโs real home life, Ariel must choose whether to believe the best about the friend she admires or consider the possibility that โperfectionโ isnโt always what it seems to be.
She makes it Look Easy is the latest novel by my close friend & Proverbs 31 writer Marybeth Whalen. And you have a chance to win it, along with some other items that can make your life a bit more of a breeze! Simply leave a comment on this post. The random winner will be announced Monday. The giveaway includes:
~ A signed copy of She Makes it Look Easy
~ A mouse pad/notepad combo for you to use by your computer and make lists or doodle.:-)
~ A fun ink pen.
~ A set of sticky notes with a matching notepad for your purse or to place by the phone.
~ A $10 gift card to TJ Maxx/Marshalls– a place where I always find cool organizing & office-y stuff.
So, for your comment. Although the book is about comparisons, the lesson of the story is how to be content with your life and stop wishing you were someone else. So, no comments about what areas of your life you wish were more like someone else’s. Instead, let’s be a little goofy.
If you could have a different name, what name would you choose? We fondly refer to this our “Panera name”.
Yes— I have friends who like to leave a different name with the worker at Panera Bread for their order. That way, instead of hearing “Brenda?” when their sandwich is up. They stroll over when they hear the employee call out “Seneca?” ย :-)
Maybe it isn’t an exotic or regal name, but what is another name you like?
I hated my name growing up because no one could pronounce it right! Now that Alyssa is popular, it is better! I love my name now and will use it instead of just saying “Lisa” at Panera!
I didn’t like my name when I was younger and was always thinking of different ones and writing them out on paper to see what looked the nicest. I realized how special and unique my name was to my parents and decided I loved it instead. I am a fan of Aubrey and have a beautiful little princess with that name. :)
I never tried a different name. Sounds like a fun idea, maybe today I’ll be Ruth if I go to Panera.
Oh, how fun! I’ve always liked my name and never thought of having a different name. I have a few nicknames: Jodester, Jodella, JoJo, and Jodelicious – anyone of those would work at Panera. I like the name Catherine Elizabeth Rose and had we had children, would have given our daughter that name. My other favorite name is my Grandmother’s – Serene.
I’d like to be a Laura.
I would love the name “Willow”. It takes me outside to a secluded woodsy area near a winding stream and waterfall. I love it.

when I was about 8 yrs old, my dad was working on a friends house & took me with him. The friend asked me what my name was (apparently dad was not around) & I replied “Jennifer” (my real name is Liz)–he started calling me that & my dad eventually heard him & corrected the situation but I was “Jennifer” for a little while. (smile)
I love the name Grace. It means so much to me and just sounds so peaceful. Honestly, I like my name. My parents chose it for me so that makes it special- short for Teresa.
I have always loved the name Gabriella.
I want a simple name. Something everyone can spell and pronounce like Jane.
I do like my name, however, I’ve always liked Mary & Grace, probably a good thing my parents didn’t name me Grace, because I’m not very graceful(I tend to run into inmoveable objects, such as walls, and couches….odd, I know)!!! Mary is after my Grandmother who went on to be with our Lord, she was so sweet, and I have so many fond memories of her.
Great idea!! My “Panera” name would be Audrey Grace. I love that name but am finally happy with being Jane! I’m so glad I found your blog. I’d love to win the organization items.
I like my name…however, my parents did not give me or my sister a middle name….this always bothered me, so I put special thought into middle names for my girls JOY and FAITH ?.

You mentioned your were having problems with your website over the weekend. I could not find my comment so do not want to miss out on this great drawing. My new name would be Anne Grace….. I do believe my Mom and Dad wanted a boy, as their first baby boy passed shortly after his birth. When I was born they named me after my Dad, Bobbie for Robert. I have thought what it would be like to have an all girl name…..who knows??
growing up I always wanted to drop “Brooke” and go by my middle name “Elizabeth”. given the quantities of people with that name I’m glad I stuck with Brooke!!
I like my name but I went to college with a girl named Johanna and I always thought that was such a pretty name, so that’s what I would choose.
