But my favorite thing to do is to study the Bible with friends.
I realize not everyone has the opportunity I do to be in a women’s Bible study. My church puts great emphasis on studying God’s word both as a body in one of our weekend worship services and in smaller groups— couples, men or women. Right now I am leading two groups of women through my new dvd curriculum LET. IT. GO. and there are other women’s studies going on as well. But not every gal is so fortunate to have a church like this.
So, if you want to connect with other women as you study the Bible and do life, I’m personally inviting you to join Melissa Taylor’s online study of LET. IT. GO. Over 3,000 women have already signed up. But don’t let the size frighten you. There is plenty of opportunity for small group interaction too. And, we’ll be offering an optional conference call series featuring Jill Savage, Sharon Glasgow, Candace Cameron Bure and me!
The topics of this study on learning how to stop trying to control and start trusting God include how to:
- Take control of your schedule yet welcome interruptions from God
- Draw the line between mothering and micromanaging
- Influence your husband instead of manipulating him
- Learn to control your emotions when you can’t control the circumstances
- Stop pursuing the appearance of perfection and start pursuing the person of God
The study starts February 3rd. For details, visit Melissa’s sign up page by clicking here.
I hope you can join us!
