  1. I have so been working on this. I’m trying to strengthen my relationship with God. Lately, I have been waking a little earlier in the morning & taking a few quiet moments before the rest of the house wakes up to thank God for what I am thankful for, to ask for his guidance with the things that I am struggling with & to ask that he look over certain special people who may need a little more than what we can give them. I like that it is quiet. I might have to start thinking about other ways that I can extend this.

  2. I have a few friends that read the same chapter of the bible to hold me accountable to read God’s word. I also read a daily devotion from Celebrate Recovery daily devotion coming out in December of this year. (I have a sample 30 days) and my favorite is from What happens when women say yes to God.

  3. I love to read the Proverbs 31 Devotions that I get in my email each morning.I enjoy using my journal along with my Bible.Spending time with God trying to BE STILL and Listen for God to speak to my heart. This is my biggest desire is to hear from God…
I love devotional books and would love to win this one.

  4. I so enjoy my time in the mornings with the Lord! A cup of Coffee, my Bible, my devotional and my prayer journal, setting with the Lord listening to what he has to teach me! An awesome way to start the day!! Praising you Lord!

  5. I just finished “The Confident Heart” by Renee Swope. What an inspirational book! I felt it was written just for me. Tonight I begin Ladies’ Bible Study studying “Why Do You Believe That? by Mary Jo Sharp. I look forward to that. I especially appreciate study time “armed” with my Bible, study book, and highlighter. Quiet time for study, and group time for sharing, bless me so much and feed my soul.

  6. I love music and a short devotional about topics that help me focus on who God is and his promises, commands etc. All things backed by scripture and not just an opinion. My problems often get elevated beyond the greatness and power of God. Reading these reminders of who He is helps calm my fears.

  7. I like complete quiet. I do my devotionals every morning before I go to work, with a warm cup of coffee in hand. I like to sit with word open on my laptop and jot notes for myself.

  8. My favorite thing to do is to listen to the quiet of the morning and see how God is talking to me. I also love to listen to Christian music or even southern gospel music.

  9. My favorite time alone with God is putting in a worship cd & singing along. Most days I just sit & pray before the kids get up & read my devos but I love to sing His praises!!

  10. This devotional looks great. During my quiet time I usually read devotionals and my Bible. I ‘m trying to spend more time in prayer and learn to listen to the Lord speak to me. Also I like to do Bible studies.

  11. Looks to be an amazing devotional. When I have my alone time with God, I love to have praise music praying quietly in the backround. I will sit in the backyard with the music quietly playing just on the other side of my livingroom window in ear shot. I often praise God for the beauty around me, bring up prayer requests for friends and family and sometimes just sit with my eyes shut, sun on my face and just listen to the sounds created by God— trees rustling in the breeze, dogs and a multiple varieties of animals you can hear in the distance. It’s a very peaceful time :)

  12. I like to find any random moment to thank and praise God for the blessings in our lives (though we have been going through a couple years of the most trying times). Many times a day … Being truly conscious of what I have to be grateful for at this time … On this day

  13. I like to get up before all the kids, get my coffee (which only my hubby knows how to make) and sit in his overstuffed chair with a journal, pen and my favorite Bible. It awakens me and gets me ready for the day.

  14. I love to sit outside or sit with the windows and doors open so I can hear the birds singing while I am spending time with the Lord. I love to go through devotional books to assist while spending time with the Lord. This book looks lovely and like something I would enjoy reading and studying.

  15. I start my morning singing “Give Me Jesus” (my alarm) and move on to reading from My Bible In A Year app. Before I leave for the office I read “Jesus Calling”. I pray the Rosary on my way to the office any time that I can. My morning pretty much revolves around the Lord as once I get to the office I am able to whisper only “I love you Jesus” many times during the day – I’m kept pretty busy. (Although I do try to read the blogs that I follow such as yours).
This devotional sounds awesome and I would be blessed to be chosen to receive it.

  16. I like to get up before the hustle and bustle of my family of 4 kids and a husband. I enjoy soaking up the time that God and I have alone together. My favorite reading (currently) is The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian alongside my bible of course, I look to God’s word as my foundation and the light for my path throughout the week. I confess that I don’t make this time with God more of a priority. I am always blessed by my quiet time with the Lord.

  17. I usually use the same devotional for a few years. I read My Utmost for His Highest everyday for 3 years. For the past 2.5 years I’ve read Jesus Calling first thing each morning. I would love to start the new year with the Proverbs 31 Devotional.

  18. I read something from the Bible several times during the day–I get verses on my phone and in my email. I LOVE reading Christian fiction–Ted Dekker or Frank Peretti are two big favorites. They draw me in, make me think of my life and my God differently than I did before. I also love to jam out to Christian music in the car–we have SiriusXM radio, so The Message is on in my car often, or the kids’ music of Go Fish or Denver and the Mile High Orchestra on CD. I try to find at least a few minutes to just sit in quiet with Him daily, too.

I hope these things are helpful to someone else, too.

  19. Once everyone is out the door to school/work. I love to relax in a peaceful place with God. Prayer, bible study & finish off with listening to soaking worship. All set for the day. I continue talking with God throughout the day as I do everyday tasks

  20. I have my quiet time with the Lord in the morning before my husband and kiddos wake up. Usually there is the Bible playing on my Ipod in the background while I read my One Year Bible then pray using “The Power of a Praying Parent” and “The Power of a Praying Wife” books as guides.

  21. I’d love this book! it would be a great way to start my day and get me focused before the craziness of the day starts

  22. I love to find a quiet place in the mornings or the evenings, Just me and God:) I love to sit in the quiet with the Lord.
