I am LOVING this first chapter so far (and so excited to join the other gals from Proverbs 31 on what is my FIRST bible study!). Opening with the middle school anecdote spoke straight to my heart… That’s the same time I started realizing what trouble my words could get me into… and yet I STILL haven’t gotten any better at controlling my tongue since then!! I’m really hoping I’ll be able to not only remember what I read in this book, but start to APPLY it to my life!!
Wow…..Loved the first chapter….Can’t wait to read the rest and start putting it to practice… I just blew it with my words this morning after being kept up half the night with a kiddo who had a bad dream then stunning my already injured foot in the dark….Lord please help me guard my heart and lasso my tongue.. amen
Stubbing not stunning
Oh, this sounds like a great book! It’s always my mouth that gets me in the most trouble. I loved the first chapter of your book. Those middle school years can be so rough.
I am needing this book!!! I have gotten better as I get older, but I’m still not “there” yet. My parents have always told me, “It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it” but I’m anxious to read about when to say nothing at all.
Oh how I can’t wait to read the book!!
Great first chapter! Now to get your book to read the rest!
Wow…what a great chapter. I have been through something similar in early years and can totally relate. I always think…if I could only take back what I said, this would have happened. I so need this help with my words and untamable tongue. I am looking forward to this Bible study!!
I saw the offer to read a chapter and thought, ‘I’m kind of busy’ but then I thought, ‘I sure need to read something like this’, so I read that chapter. I have to tell you that the opening story of how your words hurt a best friend was creatively told and I saw something in my own life. One time, I was sworn to secrecy, by the pastor, about something and I didn’t keep his word–I shared the info with my friend. My pride about ‘knowing’ something important and my wanting attention had my tongue loose enough to mess up lots of things. I’ll never forget the consequences of that. I want to be trusted! I have been alert and diligent over how I talk, and now, people trust me, again and I’m grateful to God. I love that you had a prayer at the end of the chapter. That will help people who read the book to get serious with God.
Our words are never accidental. They originate in our thoughts. That’s something to think about.
I enjoyed the first chapter and look forward to reading the rest and doing the online bible study!
I would love to read the rest of the book! And would just love to have the necklace. My husband and I have honey bees and are in awe of these tiny creatures of God’s! He created them and the honey they supply is of such medicinal purposes to us! God bless you!!
Great first chapter.I can’t wait to read the rest!

What a great chapter! I’m looking forward to the OBS.
I just kept thinking I’m worse. My book is waiting for the study to begin. I’m a visual person and would love this necklace to wear around my throat as a reminder to “Keep it Shut” or Keep it sweeter than honey. I need prayers as this has been a life long battle.
Great first chapter and so many good points! I have personally experienced how the amount of time I am spending with God impacts my days. The “overflow of the heart” when I spend time with and listen to God versus when I don’t definitely shows up in my mind, heart and words.
Love the design of the necklace! What a great reminder!
This book is so timely at this point in my life. I have a teen, a tween and a little boy. I need to learn how to speak, not just to be silent. Thanks!
