Hi Karen…I hope you get this! I just finished reading your book “Keep it Shut” and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed it. I plan on reading it again over the weekend. I feel as though I have found a kindred spirit. So much of what you conveyed in that book has related to me. I too, am a talker…I have read just about every book written on the “mouth, tongue, confession, speaking the Word only, etc. etc.”…my desire has been to get control of my tongue, even though I know it is literally impossible to do without the help of the Holy Spirit. However, you book has given me new insight and a new hope that maybe, just maybe this may be possible…I think God lead me to purchase your book because He know I would find myself on every page…from not having much of an attention span…to gossiping even when I know it is wrong…to no being able to just shut my mouth when the Holy Spirit prompted me to…to always having to “fill in the gaps” when there is a lull in the conversation. I am a 65 year old woman…married with 3 kids….been saved for nearly 40 years…and very funny (if I do say so myself)….being funny has been more than a curse than a blessing sometime…(I think we both even drive the same car…right down to the mileage)…so I know it was God that lead me to read your book….He is still trying to work with me…even my picking out the books I read. Anyway, I said all that to say this…thank you…thank you…thank you!!!
