GIVEAWAYS! It’s HOODWINKED Launch Day!

Moms have been hoodwinked—tricked into believing lies that keep them from not only enjoying motherhood, but forging friendships with other moms who might tackle the tasks of motherhood differently. Hoodwinked: Ten Myths Moms Believe and Why We All Need To Knock It Off by Karen Ehman and Ruth Schwenk. There is also a 6-session video Bible study available for group or individual use. Check it out!Psst…

want to know the secret for being a great mom?

Think she keeps house like June Cleaver, cooks like a Food Network star, and actually does all of the things she pins to her Pinterest boards? Oh…and all while calmly raising her kids without ever raising her voice? Yeah….right.

Today is release day for my new book for moms: Hoodwinked: Ten Myths Moms Believe & Why We All Need to Knock It Off!

Ruth Schwenk  and I have had ENOUGH of the misconceptions of motherhood!!!

Myths such as: “The way I mother is the right (and only) way,” “Motherhood is natural, easy, and instinctive,” or “My child’s bad choice means I’m a bad mom.” These myths leave moms hoodwinked, and sometimes even heartbroken.

Hoodwinked Cover 2This encouraging, “we’ve been there” book will enable mothers to:

-Identify the ten myths of motherhood
-Replace the lies with the truth of what God says
-Forge healthy, supportive relationships with other moms of all ages and stages
-Confidently embrace the calling of motherhood as they care for their families in their own unique way

Ultimately, Hoodwinked equips mothers to stop searching for the secret and develop and embrace their relationships instead- with their kids, other mothers, and most importantly, with God.

  2. I am out of town right now helping my mother whose health is failing. I love that my girls understand that while I don’t like being away from them they know that as a daughter I want to honor and show love to my mom. I love that when we talk in the morning before school they are praying for grandma and our evening talks are full of the sweet details of elementary school life. I love that they are counting down the days until I am back home with them.

  3. I love the silly! Watching my kids develope an imagination is so cool. The whimsy of being creative with how we show love is a fun challenge!

I love being a mom because I’m still learning as my children grow, learning that it’s so important for me to show them life is not meant to be perfect, it’s hard , rewarding ,and alot of work, it’s okay to fail and it’s okay to succeed . This book is amazing and God showed me.that I am not alone as a mother …..

  10. I love the learning process… As difficult as it is sometimes. God is growing my character through motherhood. I love the unconditional love I get from my kids and I am being given the opportunity to learn to love like Jesus with forgiveness and acceptance.

    BTW…I LOVE THAT PURSE!!!

  13. What I love the most about being a mom is watching these little girls learn who they are and find their wings. It’s the hardest and the most wonderful thing all rolled into one. ?

  14. Being a mother is big work and it is so worth it to stay all in because I can raise my two children through loving them and when it is such big work and I am exhausted I have new energy breathed into me after prayerful meditation
