DIY Patriotic Flip-Flops
Looking for a fun way to display your patriotic colors? These red, white & blue flip-flops are so easy to make and so much more fun to wear!
I used a pair of white flip-flops that I already had from Old Navy, but you can use a red or blue pair also.
I went to JoAnn Fabric & Crafts to pick out the red, white & blue ribbon. This was so much fun because there were so many great patterns & designs to choose from. You will need at least 3 yards of each color for one pair of flip-flops.
Cut the ribbon into segments that are 5 – 5 1/2 inches long. You will need 10 segments of each color per shoe.
Start at the top of the strap and double-knot each ribbon.
Continue tying the ribbons down the straps rotating between the red, white & blue ribbons. You can keep the ribbons at this length if you like the fuller look, or you can trim them shorter like in the picture below.
Make a pair for yourself… or they are also great to give as a gift! You can also switch out the ribbon colors for different occasions as well. Enjoy!
Blessings~
