It’s Day Six of 12 Days of Christmas Kindness, giving simple and doable ideas for reaching out to others during the Christmas season. If you’re just joining us, catch up on each day here.
For Day Six, let’s gift some warmth!
Take hot cocoa, a latte, or another delicious drink to a Salvation Army bell ringer, crossing guard, utility or construction worker, or anyone else working outside. Maybe even tuck in one of these Scatter Kindness cards to let them know how much they are appreciated.

It is good to do special acts of kindness to others at all times. You could invite them to your house or take them out for a hot drink and a time to share with each other what is going on in their’s and yours life.
Love this! Will head to Belk’s after work to surprise the Salvation Army volunteer bell ringer!
Great Idea. My husband works out side in the cold and I know he would appreciate someone bringing him a warm drink.
Love the idea of giving a warm drink to the Salvation Army ringers! Never would have thought of that!
Such a great idea!! Again something I have not thought of! Thanks for the wonderful idea and even down in the South it is cold today!!
Scatter the joy on this cold snowy day
Great on a chilly day!
Day 6 #12DaysOfChristmasKindness #ListenLoveRepeat My cousins joined me for Day 6. The Salvation Army bell ringers enjoyed their hot chocolates . Thank you Karen and Glynnis for hosting this day.
We are expecting quite a bit of snow here. I think the snowplow drivers will appreciate a hot drink when they come by the house.
If I get to town today I am planning on doing this. If I don’t I will do it another day.
I just returned home to see the challenge so I will implement this next week!
My kids are going to see an outdoor Santa next week. He has a “cottage” that he sits in (it’s a shed) and there are lights all around it in our city. I will remember to take him something warm (maybe some Starbucks or something bottled).
I don’t know why but I have been MOST excited for this one!!! And it’s a cold snowy day in South Dakota so it’s the PERFECT day for it!! :) :)
Providing a warm cup of something on a cold day, what a great way to scatter kindness!
Thank you for reminding us to stop and share the Reason for the season.
This is a fun idea. We will be in stormy weather today so I will have to hang onto this idea for a day we can actually get out!
This is a warming gift for sure:)
This is a great idea for today. It is raining in Sacramento, CA.
So much snow here today, great chance to scater kindness while out shoveling!
A great idea and perfect for a cold day !!
That’s a great idea! Nothing like a hot drink!
The Scatter Kindness project reminds me of The Giving Manger Set. It’s a storybook that comes with a small manger, straw and wooden baby Jesus. During the Christmas season you do simple acts of kindness and every time you do you put a straw in the manger to show your gift to Jesus by helping others. So fun for kids!
It’s snowing here today – a great day for hot chocolate!
Thank you for another great idea.
We will be going out here soon and I am getting my teenagers involved in today’s kindness act.
