  1. Thank you so much for inspiring me to complete the 12 days of kindness! Day 10 is something I am proud to say I try to do faithfully! I have a running prayer list on my kitchen wall. Since I spend most of my time in the kitchen with 3 small children and a husband I try to scribble prayers down as they come up or as I think of those who need lifting up! Thank you again for your inspiration!

  2. People throw around the words “I’m praying for you” or “I’ll pray for you” rather flippantly these days and never give it a second thought. It only takes a minute to say “let me pray with you ( or for you) right now”. It really means so much more to that person than the “promise to pray”.

  3. I do this everyday. Every Night actually. I have so many friends going through trails are this moment in life, and they can always use an extra prayer or two. One lost their house in a fire a few weeks ago, Another couple are getting married this weekend (only 2 weeks notice… scrambling)… Then just its the holiday season and everyone can use some lifted spirits and cheer. With all the negativity in the world some as simple as a prayer for some can be all the difference in the world.

  4. The gift of prayer is the best gift someone can give. I was just talking to someone on the phone who needs prayer. I love this idea for today.

  5. I have a friend with stage 4 throat cancer. She has a trach and can’t talk. She won’t talk to anyone through text or email either. I talk to her mom to see how she is doing. I am sending her a text right now. Thank you for encouraging us. This is a great idea and keeps you thinking about others.

  6. Wow! God really spoke to me with this one!!! I had a plan to send a friend who has been through a lot of challenging issues over the past few months and it continues. She is dealing with a spouse who had a stroke and is home and needs lots of support and at the same time there is much tension between them due to some major issues. So I texted her and sent a scripture and told her I prayed that scripture for her. I was not sure what her response would be and I got back YOU just made my day!! So wow that made my day!! Joy multiplied!! Then I was thanking someone for something they had provided last night and they were sharing how they had been sick so I had the opportunity to text her a prayer!! Wow!! What a day!! Thank you. This has been so good for me!!

  7. I just finished my prayer time and realized how many people I know who are hurting from loneliness, family breakdown, and disease. It is a difficult time for many. Lord be their strength and hope and peace and healer.

  8. Funny that today was about giving prayer… my oldest is giving a BIG presentation for school and was really uneasy about it. I told him this morning that I would be praying during the time he was giving it (he doesn’t have a phone) and it is NOW! :) Thanks Lord and Karen for the reminder!

  10. Love praying for people, like people ahead of me in line at the checkout. or other places, I always pray when I see and ambulance for who ever is inside’ Great ides you have been sharing

  11. This challenge is near to my heart! I knew immediately who I would message with a prayer. There is a family, Carl and Mindi Stine who have children but had a baby a little over a year ago. The baby was healthy but one day his dad found him not breathing. He has been on life support for close to a year now and alot of time at home. Recently he has had some issues and is back in the hospital. It’s a roller-coaster for the family, not to mention the financial stress it brings. Please pray for them and if interested in knowing more look them up on facebook and kneeling for Knox. I do not know this family personally but I know they would appreciate your prayers.

  12. Unexpected texts that someone is at that moment praying for me or my family touch my heart in a way I can’t even explain. Such a great gift

  13. There is somethung prettybspecial.in this one…knowing God placed someone on your heart and to let that person know this and the specifics of the prayer. What love!

  14. Hi. I LOVE praying for those around me and people know that I do actually pray when I say I will! While I often share verses I am praying, it did not occur to me to write out my prayer or part of it. Great idea!
