Winners announced here! Congratulations!

*Give Away has Ended*

Welcome to my 11th annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways!

If you’re just joining in, each day will be linked at the bottom of this post.

11th Annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways (2018) December 4-15 at karenehman.com.

Ten years ago I had a little tinsel-time idea. I would ask 11 friends to join me for 12 days of Christmas giveaways here on my blog. We all would share a favorite recipe, memory, gift idea, decorating tip, or something else that would help my readers during the holiday hustle. We’d also give away a prize package and readers could enter to win by leaving a comment. And, there would be a grand prize for one person who commented on all twelve of the days. The series was an instant hit. And it was the first time during my year of blogging that a post got over 100 comments.

Today kicks off our eleventh year of this oh-what-fun series. You are gonna love meeting my 11 friends joining us this year and entering to win their prizes. And…..

THIS YEAR THERE IS A FABULOUS GRAND PRIZE!!!

One of you WHO COMMENTS ON ALL TWELVE POSTS AND ALSO SHARES ABOUT THE SERIES ON SOCIAL MEDIA will win a grand prize from me, pictured here.

OK, let’s get started with our first day’s guest, Candace Cameron Bure. Here she is…

At this time of year, we love to remember family and close friends with a gift for Christmas, even if it is something small. With my siblings, and a few friends who have a lot of kids, we don’t buy individual gifts. We sometimes give a family ornament. This keeps our ornaments updated and fresh each year and then we have a memory to go along with it. It is a simple tradition that always brings smiles.

I also love to give items that are practical so I know they will be used. I like to give the iPhone users I know, especially my own family members, cords and charging cubes in fun colors or decorative patterns. These charging devices get lost or misplaced often so this is a great gift they will appreciate. The best part is they won’t be plain white so they won’t mix them up with someone else’s.

Also, this year I found a new inexpensive gift to give. It’s a selfie ring light that clips onto your phone or computer. You can even clip them on a book to read in bed. Of course, you can use them for their intended purpose–taking a selfie of you and your friends in better lighting!

Happy gift-giving everyone. If you need me, I’ll just be over here cuddled up under a blanket, sipping something hot (I love ginger tea!) and watching my favorite Christmas movie–not one of my own Hallmark Channel movies–but that hilarious classic Elf.

Have a fabulous celebration of the birth Jesus. And tell us in the comment section your go-to inexpensive gift to give to either friends or family members. I can’t wait to see your ideas!

Love,

Candace

  1. I love reading to my children and they love listening. We have a Christmas book that my mom and I wrote together and now my children and I read it and add our year.

  2. Our go-to gifts are homemade ornaments. My kids have always been crafty and creative so we made it a tradition about 15 years ago. We even have a tree dedicated to just the ornaments they’ve made :-)

  3. My go to gift is my homemade cookies and candies that I make each year as my family is so large it is impossible to buy for all.

  4. I follow Candace on Instagram. During the time that the fire destroyed lots of homes and. took peoples lives. My heart hurt for her. Being a mom myself I was imagining how she might be feeling since she was away from her family. Her friends too that were being affected by the fire as well.
I cried for her and them. Prayed too when she asked for prayer.
I don’t know why I’m sharing this maybe I’d like for you to tell her just how much I care for her as a person. Please tell her thank you for making her products available for the contest. Hope this finds you doing well. God bless you too.

  5. Hi all,
My go to budget friendly tradition with my own family is the 4 gift rule. Something they “ want, need, wear and read.”

  6. Hey Candice, Karen and fellow commentators,
I love the idea of the iphone charger in a colorful color, my husband has been asking me for ideas for me, but its hard to give…I mostly want honey-do items like the office organized, or books sorted out, (not easy things for family to give me) or body specific items like a well fitting pair of jeans…hard for my sister-in-law to buy…Thanks for the idea, and keep shinin’ have enjoyed watching your faith blossom and bloom through different seasons of your life and career.
    Because you’re lovely,
    Melody

  7. Oooo my go to inexpensive gifts are movie tix from Costco, or the warm blankets they put out for sale this time of year!!! Who doesn’t love blankets in the winter?!?!

  8. Over the many years that I have lived and given gifts.. I believe the most loved and treasured ones have been ones from the heart. A handmade card, a ornament, a small painted pictures, a special book… the list goes on… however there have been years that I have had to purchase a gift..and I try very hard to find that one special unique for the person I am giving something to. Also each year, I pick a person who is an acquaintances or someone that I know and have been around several times..and give them a “secret Santa gift”…to me this is a greatest gift of all.. because I get NO thank you (which is fine by me).. but know in my heart that I have given that person a little Christmas joy for !

  9. A homemade Christmas card is a beautiful way to give an inexpensive gift. It is also an excellent way to relax and to use the time to lift each person you make the card for in prayer. Adding a simple photo of a special memory of you and the recipient can make it very personalized and show that you were truly thinking of them and not simply making the same card like a machine. Simple, inexpensive, but a very personal way to share your love and gratitude with others.

  10. My go to gift is something baked and a pretty plate or seasonal dish towel. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas!

  11. Candace,
I have been following you off and on since your Full House/DJ Tanner days.
Its so neat to see how God has worked in your life & where He has brought you/your family since then.
Thank you for being a godly example to so many.
Would love to read your book.

    Chrissy

    1. ** I love giving my kids or something that they have been asking for and not expecting to get it,
The look on my kids faces when that happens is so priceless..
