Day 1 of 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways (with Candace Cameron Bure)
Winners announced here! Congratulations!
*Give Away has Ended*
Welcome to my 11th annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways!
If you’re just joining in, each day will be linked at the bottom of this post.
Ten years ago I had a little tinsel-time idea. I would ask 11 friends to join me for 12 days of Christmas giveaways here on my blog. We all would share a favorite recipe, memory, gift idea, decorating tip, or something else that would help my readers during the holiday hustle. We’d also give away a prize package and readers could enter to win by leaving a comment. And, there would be a grand prize for one person who commented on all twelve of the days. The series was an instant hit. And it was the first time during my year of blogging that a post got over 100 comments.
Today kicks off our eleventh year of this oh-what-fun series. You are gonna love meeting my 11 friends joining us this year and entering to win their prizes. And…..
THIS YEAR THERE IS A FABULOUS GRAND PRIZE!!!
One of you WHO COMMENTS ON ALL TWELVE POSTS AND ALSO SHARES ABOUT THE SERIES ON SOCIAL MEDIA will win a grand prize from me, pictured here.
This KitchenAid Ultra Power Stand Mixer is worth over $250 and includes:
- 10 speeds, 4.5 qt. capacity
- Made of die-cast metal and aluminum housing
- Silver metallic finish, as shown here
- Brushed stainless bowl
- 300-watt motor
OK, let’s get started with our first day’s guest, Candace Cameron Bure. Here she is…

At this time of year, we love to remember family and close friends with a gift for Christmas, even if it is something small. With my siblings, and a few friends who have a lot of kids, we don’t buy individual gifts. We sometimes give a family ornament. This keeps our ornaments updated and fresh each year and then we have a memory to go along with it. It is a simple tradition that always brings smiles.
I also love to give items that are practical so I know they will be used. I like to give the iPhone users I know, especially my own family members, cords and charging cubes in fun colors or decorative patterns. These charging devices get lost or misplaced often so this is a great gift they will appreciate. The best part is they won’t be plain white so they won’t mix them up with someone else’s.
Also, this year I found a new inexpensive gift to give. It’s a selfie ring light that clips onto your phone or computer. You can even clip them on a book to read in bed. Of course, you can use them for their intended purpose–taking a selfie of you and your friends in better lighting!
Happy gift-giving everyone. If you need me, I’ll just be over here cuddled up under a blanket, sipping something hot (I love ginger tea!) and watching my favorite Christmas movie–not one of my own Hallmark Channel movies–but that hilarious classic Elf.
Have a fabulous celebration of the birth Jesus. And tell us in the comment section your go-to inexpensive gift to give to either friends or family members. I can’t wait to see your ideas!
Love,
Candace

Day Three with Courtney Joseph
New fuzzy, WARM socks and a Christmas ornament that represents something from the past year for stockings. Also a friend invited us over to make gingerbread houses and have soup a few years ago as part of their tradition and now we see who God leads us to invite over every year – love paying that forward to see what God has planned <3
Merry Christmas Everyone .. Love Full and Fuller house. thank you for bringing it back for my kids
I love making homemade goodies for friends and family for Christmas gifts! My favorites are Christmas sugar cookies that are decorated, pretzel rods dipped in chocolate, and then mint chocolate covered vanilla wafers!! Christmas is a wonderful time of year to be with family and celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ!
My children get a pair of pajamas and a Christmas movie to watch plus popcorn and fun treats for the movie.
Love this idea!… I think I’m gonna do this as well!!
Candace is a huge role model to me and my daughters. Thank you for being a Christ loving woman in Hollywood! I wish there were more of her!
My go to gift that is inexpensive is always Christmas socks, and ornaments!
I also get a new Christmas book for my kids every year, as we have a tradition of “25 Days Of Christmas bedtime stories” and we unwrap and read a Christmas book each night!
Love this!!
I love giving something either homemade or bought locally in our cute downtown area. Makes it more unique!
I like to make theme-like gifts. E.g. nice coffee mug or cup with either hot cocoa or coffee packs in them. Or a popcorn bucket filled with different candy boxes and a good movie. Perfect for piling up on the couch with your loved ones watching the Hallmark channel (my favorite)! ?
I love to give books I’ve picked up on sale.
Love Candace and the joy she shares!
Such a great post. Thanks for sharing
I just love Candace and with two girls at home this book is right up our alley!!
Thank you for these wonderful ideas, Candace. It helps to make sure we keep our focus on the reason for the season as well as every moment of our lives-Jesus! Have always loved watching your shows and Hallmark movies are my “go-to” when I need a relaxing night after a challenging day teaching.
God has gifted me with the ability to arrange flowers, so I give flower arrangements.
God bless you and Karen and your ministries. I love Karen and have been reading her books.
Merry Christmas!
Girls would love this!
Coffee giftcards…
Thank you for sharing this book with us.
Thank you and God bless you.
This is awesome!!
I do education for an online health and wellness company, so I love gifting items from there.
I too give charge cords as people are always using them. I am giving pop sockets this year as well. I also like to give away to close family apicture of my girls or our family together.
Fun and exciting
This year, we are not in a good financial state, & I was stressing about having 2 gifts for each person which would have totaled 22 gifts! So, I decided I would only buy 1 per pperson & it was such a freeing feeling! I could concentrate on the real meaning of Christmas! I even baked some Christmas cookies this year, which I hadn’t done in years! After I got rid of the stress of buying, I freed up time to do other things & more time to think about Jesus & what his birth meant to us!
To anyone I know that uses essential oils Ill send them a bottle of an inexpensive blend that they can diffuse. You can get great smelling blends for $10! They make your house smell amazing and you get the added bonus of the benefits that that specific oil aids your body (each oil provides something different)
Homemade gifts such as cookies and goodies are traditional with me, but I am always on the look out for new ideas and recipes!
