Join us for the 12th Annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways at

“Five golden rings!” It is Day Five of my 12th annual 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways! If you’re just joining in, be sure to start at Day 1 here.

I’m so happy to introduce you to today’s giveaway guest, Trillia Newbell. She is an author and speaker and also is the Director of Community Outreach for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission for the Southern Baptist Convention. I first got to know Trillia by following her on Twitter and I was grateful when she said yes to the invitation to join us in this Christmas series. Her great giveaway is based on her latest book Sacred Endurance: Finding Grace and Strength for a Lasting Faith. However, before we get to see what she is offering for the prize of the day, here is one of my favorite Christmas recipes.

Day 5: Fluffy Peanut-Butter Fudge

My family thinks it just can’t be Christmas without this creamy confection—fluffy, creamy peanut butter fudge. This recipe couldn’t be easier. For gift giving, scour second-hand stores for vintage Christmas tins or simply slice a large square of fudge, wrap tightly in foil, and embellish with a Christmas ribbon tied around it.

2 cups white sugar
½ cup whole milk
7 oz jar of marshmallow fluff
1 ? cups creamy peanut butter
¼ cup finely chopped, salted peanuts, for garnish

Generously butter an 8 x 8 inch baking pan.

Stir together the milk and sugar in a medium-sized pan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once it begins to boil, stir continually, for exactly three minutes.

Immediately remove the pan from the stove. Stir in the peanut butter and marshmallow fluff, combining well.

Spread fudge into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and press down slightly on them. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Cover with foil and store in the refrigerator. When ready to eat or give as a gift, cut into squares with a sharp knife.

  1. I don’t think there is one particular food that I need to eat to make it officially Christmas. I think for my husband or brother-in-law it might be my Cranberry White Chocolate Oatmeal cookies. I only make them at Christmas time. Which reminds me, better plan some time to get them made!

  2. I make Apple Crack Dip and also Peppermint bark every Christmas. I give it to my friends and family. It is just something to tell them I love them and I am thinking of them. We all look forward to it.

  3. Yes, bagels and loks with capers a must have. And tomato with purple onion, this has been a tradition we been doing for 20 plus years
