Day 10: Favorite Christmas Cookie
Today’s guest is my friend Alexandra Hoover. She is a wife, mother of three incredible kiddos, daughter, friend, bible teacher, and Proverbs 31 devotion writer. And now, here she is with a fun question of the day!
I grew up eating delicious homemade Venezuelan desserts for Christmas. My absolute favorite was Tres Leches cake (translation: three milks cake). This is a sponge cake —in some recipes, a butter cake —soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated, condensed, and heavy cream. Sometimes cinnamon is also in the recipe.
As I grew up, I was also introduced to a few American recipes that I loved as well. They became a sweet obsession. One is soft sugar cookies and the other is gingerbread cookies. I love them fresh out of the oven. I just can’t go without them at Christmas time!
And so, for our question today, tell us what your favorite Christmas cookie is in the comment thread and you will be entered to win my giveaway.

Day 10 Giveaway
Thanks Alex! For day nine, Alexandra is giving away Ann Voskamp’s Family advent book Unwrapping the Greatest Gift, and her new guide Come and See. Be sure to tell us your favorite Christmas cookie. (In case you’re wondering, mine is church windows!)

Favorite Christmas cookie has to be chocolate dipped almond biscotti!
I have a tie for my favorite cookie…one is a ginger snap that my Mama D use to make and now I make every year. I also love peanut butter cookies that the recipe comes from a Dutch cookbook I inherited. I love cookies and love to bake them too! We have a baking Saturday each season and make for all our neighbors and friends. May your day be blessed and filled with His joy at every turn.
My daughter and I always make homemade sugar cookies. I like mine iced and decorated, they are so good!
Pecan nut cups…kind of like mini pecan pies!
Well, I would say Peanut Butter blossoms
Traditional sugar cookies !
Whipped shortbread with cherries
My grandma’s thumbprint cookies. They always looked like little nests with the green and pink frosting. I love the taste of almond extract in each bite.

My favorite Christmas cookies are Brown Sugar Spice Cookies and decorated sugar cookies! Love to make, share, and eat them!

My favorite Christmas cookies are probably Peanut Butter Blossoms (the PB cookies with a Hershey’s Kiss in the middle…preferably dark chocolate now that they make those!)
That is a tough question! I think my favorite Christmas cookies are stained glass windows. These are colored marshmallows in chocolate. So good!
Mexican Wedding Cakes – or Snowballs. Although I made a new cookie last night – Cranberry Shortbread that was pretty good!
Thank you for the opportunity to win prizes!!! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
I’m probably not going to turn down any cookies, but I’m a traditionalist who love chocolate chip cookies.

We have many Ukrainian sweets that we love to have any time but especially at Christmas, one of them being Bird’s Milk which is a white mousse with chocolate jello topping and is sooo good. I also love little cookies stuffed with cherries and topped with powdered sugar. My favorite American cookies are probably the peanut butter kiss cookies!
