Day 11: Favorite Christmas Food Item

Yesterday we talked Christmas cookies. But let’s not stop there. So many yummy Christmas foods exist!

My favorite Christmas food is green olives by the name of Graber. They were delicious, unlike your traditional green olive, with a speckled skin. Growing up, we would have bowls of them every Christmas every year. My great great grandparents were original settlers in Ontario, California and knew the farmers of these olives and had purchased them since the beginning of the farm as far back as 1894.

Now it is your turn. What is your favorite Christmas food that is not a cookie? Leave your answer in the comments below and you could win my giveaway!

Day 11 Giveaway

Thanks Ashley! And now for her giveaway. Learning how to take your social media design to the next level doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Ashley is giving away a social media course. In it you will learn how to use one app, the OVER app, that can take your social media game and design ability to the next level, all on the convenience of your phone. In this course you will get seven video lessons on how to up your social media design game as well as a 42 page workbook to use alongside them!

  1. My family’s Christmas breakfast is always my favorite; usually pecan french toast or monkey bread and a fritatta!

  2. So hard to choose…so many favorites! One of my favorites is a slow cooked roast beef with oven roasted potatoes. So yummy! We would often eat ham and turkey at my grandparents homes so we had something different…and it has stuck with me through the years and now it is something I do. May your day be blessed and filled with His joy at every turn!

  3. I always make a delicious ham on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning I make homemade biscuits and hash browns. For those who don’t like ham, I make cinnamon rolls. We all sit around the Christmas tree and open presents while we eat!

  4. Wild rice soup has always been apart of our Christmas meals. It always brings a comfort with the cold MN Christmas eves.

  5. Ever since watching the movie The Holiday, my husband and I started a fun tradition of making Christmas Alfredo. I love the “traditional” Christmas meals, too (turkey, cranberries, etc), but Christmas Alfredo is so fun!

  6. My favorite Christmas food that is not a cookie is homemade ravioli. My grandmother made them every year. She doesn’t make them anymore, but my sister does. I love them!

  7. We are Ukrainian so we love to make all sorts of Ukrainian foods for Christmas and my favorite has to be Ukrainian cabbage rolls. They are sooo good!

  8. This is hard! I’d have to say sausage balls are a favorite for me now, but I never had them growing up…that was a fun new thing when I started celebrating Christmas with my husband’s family!

  9. My favorite food is the dressing. It’s a recipe handed down each generation. Until this year it had never been written down. When my husband’s grandmother got dementia we started 3 cook books for the grandkids. I have been collecting recipes from the family to put in them. These memories and recipes will last for more generations now.
