Basil Limeade
You might not think basil belongs in a sweet summer drink, but trust me. This is delicious! A copycat recipe I created after visiting an eatery near my daughter Kenna’s home in Charlotte, NC.

Basil Limeade
Ingredients
- 6 limes seeded and juiced
- 1 lime seeded and sliced
- 6 cups water, divided
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves coarsely chopped
- 3 cups ice
Instructions
- Place lime juice in a large pitcher.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil and add honey.
- Once the honey is dissolved, pour the honey mixture into the pitcher, and add remaining water.
- Stir until well blended and add basil, lime slices, and ice.
