Friday Organizing Giveaway–Times Two!!!!

Hi all–

Not a lot of time to post today. I have one of those jam-packed weekends. All good—-but full of activity.

~My boys are having four friends from Detroit over for the weekend.

~My hubby and daughter are headed here from NC. (She’s coming home for a month.Yippee!!)

~I leave for a speaking event at the wonderful Lake Ann Camp Saturday morning (being put on by the fablous gals at Growing Women ministries.)

~Mitch has a double-header Saturday morning.

~The annual Davis Harvest party is Saturday night—hundreds of folks for an old-fashioned-hay-riding-donuts-and-cider eating-bonfire-and-square-dancing grand ole’ time. (My kids love this day almost as much as Christmas!) Todd will be taking the troops there for a fun-filled outing.

~More teens join us (Kenz’s friends) Saturday evening for an overnight, bringing the total count of people in our home to over 17!

~More of the Weekend Magazine radio spots I’ve recorded will run on Focus on the Family this weekend. If your local radio station doesn’t carry this program, click here to listen in!

~I will return home Sunday, hopefully in time for church, but very tuckered out!!

So today’s post is a simple giveaway. Hop on over to my P31 sister Renee Swope’s site where she’s featuring an interview with me about my book The Complete Guide to Getting and Staying Organized. She is giving away a signed copy along with a $10 Target gift card to buy some fun and functional organizing stuff and a box of chocolates. :-)

I am doing the same exact thing! (Mine includes some dark chocolate!) Sooooo…….two chances to win! Simply leave a comment on either (or both!) sites. Your name will be entered.

In the mean time, enjoy your busy–or not-so-busy— weekend.

I’m totally gonna have me one of those next weekend!

In the mean time, please comment telling me what YOUR plans are for this weekend! Your name will be entered in the giveaway. Winner announced Monday.

See you next week. Got some topics to tackle you won’t want to miss! Happy Weekend.

  1. I hope to get some housework done on Saturday, church on Sunday and then Sunday afternoon, we are helping friends move to a new house.

  2. Another book to add to my wish list. :)

I work weekends. This Sunday I am going to church with my daughter and her family before work.

  3. Our weekend, too, is filled with activity–optional baseball practice tonight (hubby is coach, 8-year-old plays), game tomorrow. Sevey-year-old daughter’s gymnastics team practice today after school from 3:30-5:30. Previously mentioned b-ball practice starts at 5:30 . . . we are down to one car, so must try to find a ride for daughter. Did I mention that both kids were at the doc yesterday and have just started Allegra for major allergies? Son has been home from school for two days b/c of low-grade fever, swollen glands and genreal yuckiness. All running on fumes, but still running. Have a great weekend!!!

  4. What a busy weekend you will be having!! But also know what a blessing it will be.

I would sure like to win your book. I need help, help, help with organization.

    Hugs and Prayers to you.

    God Bless

  5. My hubby is having a tooth pulled today, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be using my nursing skills this weekend! Hopefully, I’ll get a little gardening cleanup in, and all the usual household chores. Oh, yes, my low fat zucchini bread is on the menu!

Thank you for your blog, I love it!

  6. We are going apple picking and of course having cider and donuts. I need to fit in my 11 mile run before the weekend is over. It’s my last run before my first half marathon. Church and AWANA on Sunday. These are full weekends for everyone.

  7. We are taking the kids to visit their cousins, my husband will have some “manly” time in the woods, I will have some sister time with my two sisters, and then we will all crash on Sunday night!

  8. Having a stay at home weekend. Life group tonight with some of my favorite people in the world. Starting a new study called Chase the Lion – can’t wait. Saturday will be soccer in the morning and then continuing on our mission to de-clutter and organize our home. We are trying to be more purposeful about simplifying our lives (removing physical stuff and calming a busy schedule). Finding that my family functions better this way with down time and breathing room. Sunday morning worship and a 4-H banquet in the afternoon. Enjoying this beautiful summer weather in Michigan before the sun goes away for the winter! :)

  9. Taking my daughter to Goodwill to try to find a costume for her upcoming play. Helping with a garage sale. Dropping off my daughter and her boyfriend at Homecoming. Handing out tshirts and books at church. ‘Manning’ our small group table at church. Paying bills, cleaning house (which is in DESPERATE need of attention)….I’m definitely too disorganized for all the things I have going on. I think I definitely need to get my hands on your book. Have a great weekend everyone!

  10. My weekend plans include my son’s football game on Sat, which is 3 hours from home, so that will pretty much take up all of Sat.
On Sun, we have Church and Sunday school, followed by breakfast at our local diner. Then, there’s football on tv & the nascar race. To wrap up the weekend, we will go 4-wheeling for about 2 hours. Hmmm, my kind of weekend-filled with fun and the people I love!

  19. Thank you for this giveaway! Your book sounds WONDERFUL! Getting and STAYING organized!!! And I love what you said over at Renee’s, that your book doesn’t offer just one way to do it, but that you help each gal find a way that will work for her personality and preferences.

My weekend involves dinner with my mom tonight, a Bible Fellowship party tomorrow night, celebrating my father-in-law’s birthday, and helping my fourth grader finish making a Cherokee summer house for school!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  20. Your book looks interesting to me knowing I am not the best organized and really need to work on how to organize more better! Hopefully I get laundry and put away the clothes today before tomorrow knowing the boys will sleep over at Grandma’s house, my husband and I will be going to our marriage counselor in morning then after this his dad will be in town to help fix his truck while I clean around in the house and after this we will be out on date which I couldn’t wait!!!
