Write it Down Weekend Giveaway

Have you ever had so much to do that you put off even making a to do list? In fact, you were afraid that if you actually wrote down all that you had to do, you’d be too scared to look at it!

Be brave, sisters. I have been there. (In fact, I’m there as we speak!)

I find that the days I spin my wheels are the days that I don’t have a written plan of attack.

Or at least a short list.

Okay….or even a single sticky note!

I am headed off to make my list; my plan off attack for the weekend and its many projects. Some are physical (painting a dresser). Some are mental (writing—lots and lots of writing).

Before I go, here is a giveaway designed to help you ‘write it down’.

It includes:
~ A whimsical kitchen menu planner
~ A week-at-a-glance pad for your desk
~ Some cute blue sticky notes with a little bird on them
~ A pack of my favorite pencils–Ticonderoga # 2’s
~ A package of cinnamon hot cocoa
~ A signed copy of my book The Complete Guide to Getting & Staying Organized

To be entered, leave a comment telling us this: what are you doing this weekend?

Oh yeah, and if it involves a task, better write it down!!! ;-)

Blessings,

  1. I’m going to hang out and watch football and go through some boxes that are still packed from my move (9 months ago). and I am going to my new church…I feel so at home there and look forward to it so much. and making some lists for projects at work next week. All in all, a busy weekend but one where I hope to accomplish alot.

  2. Working as an eldercare giver early am; cleaning friends apartment, cleaning out attic, cooking up several days meat so I have quick meals next week, picking up my teen from work……….
Some days I write on my to do list what I’ve done that wasn’t on it – yes, to feel better about how I’ve spent my time, but also so I don’t forget it was done!!

  3. Tonight we have an organizational meeting for our homeschool performing arts group which is an exciting beginning of the year event for two of my teenagers. Tomorrow morning I’ll be helping my mother with some shopping. In the afternoon my daughter and I are going to watch some friends perform in a local theater production of “Annie” which should be just delightful. Sometime this weekend I need to do laundry, clean and get ready for another week of homeschooling.

  4. Saturday, my daughter and I are attending a baby shower for a friend, and then Sunday, church, and that afternoon while my daughter is napping, I plan on starting her quilt! (I’ve been putting it off….such a procrastinator)! A few years ago, a professor said that “procrastination is the fear of failure!” Boy, is that ever true!!

  5. I’m watching 3 extra lil’ ones, sending my oldest off for his first camping trip with daddy (brrrr), and getting ready for a garage sale by DECLUTTERING!

  6. Ticonderoga # 2?s – my favorites also. I haven’t had one for years but when I was a young girl my Grandma would buy me a box at the office supply store I loved to visit. I didn’t know anyone else even knew about Ticonderoga # 2?s…what a silly thing to get excited about. Anyway Karen…this weekend, I’m tackling all my lists…have lots of posties here, there, everywhere, have ideas that need to be on paper and more importantly things on my heart that need to be dealt with. Thank you for this simple encouragement to “GET ON IT.” Hope your list(s) progress as well.

  7. This weekend I am hoping to spend some much needed time with my family. Saturday I have an all day seminar to attend. Possibly going out to dinner for my birthday and then on Sunday I’m teaching the Kindergarten Sunday School class and then church. I am loving the cooler weather we are having so somewhere in there I will get in a nice long soaking bubble bath! Enjoy your weekend!

  8. Karen, this is so timely. Right now, I’ve got so much going on that I’m writing lists ont he backs of any piece of paper I can get my hands on. And tomorrow, I’m double booked at two different times. So if I hit every event, I may be going to 5 events total tomorrow (two between 11-2, two between 2-4, and then church at 5:15). I’m very good about keeping lists but right now, my lists are in lots of different forms!

  9. We are off to the races – dirtbike races that is. Our 6 year old son rides and this adventure takes away most weekends. So a to do list, menu planning, etc. is something I need to do and always looking for helpful advice in doing so.
So Thanks for the chance to win this pack.
    Happy Weekend to you :)

  10. My weekend will kick off with a picnic. I am a teacher and my first grade class and I will be visiting a local park for hotdogs and more. Saturday, I’ll be packing and cleaning for an upcoming vacation. Sunday is fellowship time with my church family, followed by some much needed rest and relaxation! Thanks for asking! I hope you have a wonderful weekend yourself!

  11. Tonight is high school football. Tomorrow my family and I are jogging/running in Race for the Soul to benefit a couple of missions with our church then… cleaning up the flower beds (much needed), trimming what needs trimmed outside and hopefully at some point better organizing my scrapbook room! Sunday-awesome Church and hope for a lazy Sunday afternoon with my family! Busy fun weekend.

  12. Left my grand daughters house this a.m. to go to the doctor to have a place removed from my forehead to be sent for biopsy. Insurance pays for none of this and will have to wait a week for the patholgy report. The needle to numb my forehead was the worst part…. The rest of my week-end is filled with grocery shopping and errands. Saturday going to a baseball game to see my youngest grandson play. Sunday, church and bible study, hopefully some down time after afternoon dinner. I can seriously use your book:)

  13. Spending Saturday cleaning out closets and making sure they are organized for this cooler weather. And doing lots of laundry!

  14. This weekend I am hoping to do what I try to do every weekend… Organize something…. Lol I have at least five old diaper boxes full of my daughters school work/projects (kindergarten through fifth grade). I literally have kept everything she did… I need to throw out (very heart breaking) some of the items and organize the rest to keep. I’m also hoping to get all of the fall/winter clothes out and washed. Again… this is all I hope to do… I’d settle for one of the two :)

  15. Saturday…we are taking a friend to the airport (EARLY), doing some fall shopping for the children, attending a 1 year old’s birthday party and then attending our life group meeting. Sunday, after church, we are enjoying an afternoon of apple picking in the mountains with some amazing friends we haven’t seen in a while. Busy busy- but thankful we are not so busy we are “Being Under Satan’s Yoke.”

  16. I’m meeting up with a long-lost not-yet-Christian friend… and spending time with my sick husband, who is not able to work…still waiting on doctors and medical appointments. God is good, all the time. Pray I feel that as well as know it.

  17. I will be spending my weekend with many people whom I love dearly: my family, my church family, and my friends. Tonight, dinner and art gallery night with my girlfriends. Tomorrow morning, running on the beach…followed by a family bike ride and family time. Sunday morning, I will teach Sunday school to my precious elementary students, family lunch…then shopping for my daughter’s first dance (homecoming) dress with her friends and their mothers.

  18. Just seeing the “giveaway” makes me want to get organized! I am going to soccer games, spending time w/ my family and teaching Sunday school this w/e. Thank you for your blog……so great!

  19. I will be traveling to my daughter’s house for my grandson’s birthday. Today I have made a cake, prepared some things to sell in a space that I have. Helping prepare for the birthday party once I arrive, taking care of little one, visiting w/ my parents. It will be a busy fun filled day. These days I need all the help I can get, staying focused on tasks I need to complete.

  20. I plan to help out w/a fundraiser this evening, clean my yard sale items out of the corner of living room & donate it “Community Services”, go to funeral for my cousin & help w/potlatch, attend church Sunday & worship my Savior! Before the weekend is over I will find time to clean my house!
