Write it Down Weekend Giveaway
Have you ever had so much to do that you put off even making a to do list? In fact, you were afraid that if you actually wrote down all that you had to do, you’d be too scared to look at it!
Be brave, sisters. I have been there. (In fact, I’m there as we speak!)
I find that the days I spin my wheels are the days that I don’t have a written plan of attack.
Or at least a short list.
Okay….or even a single sticky note!
I am headed off to make my list; my plan off attack for the weekend and its many projects. Some are physical (painting a dresser). Some are mental (writing—lots and lots of writing).
Before I go, here is a giveaway designed to help you ‘write it down’.
~ A whimsical kitchen menu planner
~ A week-at-a-glance pad for your desk
~ Some cute blue sticky notes with a little bird on them
~ A pack of my favorite pencils–Ticonderoga # 2’s
~ A package of cinnamon hot cocoa
~ A signed copy of my book The Complete Guide to Getting & Staying Organized
To be entered, leave a comment telling us this: what are you doing this weekend?
Oh yeah, and if it involves a task, better write it down!!! ;-)
Generally I don’t read article on blogs, however I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do it!
Your writing taste has been amazed me. Thanks, very nice article.
This weekend I will be juggling the activities of my two kids. I’ll have an extra kid Friday night cause his Mom needs some help. In the AM my daughter has auditions for the school musical which will be this coming March and while she is there my son (and his friend who is staying the night) will have a soccer game. I hope to drop off my daughter and still make the game. Then it will be back to get my daughter from the school and drive 40 minutes to her weekly Nutcracker ballet rehearsal. While we are away doing that husband will take my son from his soccer game to a food stand at a local event to help sell food for the Cub Scout pack he is part of. And then Sunday is church activities. It just so happens that everything they are part of had something going on this weekend. And oh how I could use help keeping all this straight so I don’t forget to be somewhere!
We haven’t done anything!! lol! We decided that other than going to church on sunday, that we were going to lay low and just enjoy being a family! I have had the BEST weekend!!
This has been a wonderful weekend spent with my grandson. I love being a grandma and going to the park with him. I also attended church today and spent the afternoon just spending some much needed time alone with God.
This weekend my husband and I are talking to a landscaper about some projects we want to have done. I’m also trying to decide on the photos I want for our parents’ album from our daughter’s wedding. And oh yes, I need to write an article for my scripture memory blog. In between, there will be house cleaning, church attending, and talking by phone to our son (first semester law school) and our daughter (living with new husband in Paris).
Saturday was spent teaching a sewing lesson to ladies from my church, organizing paperwork, processing some of the vegetables we picked Friday at a farm, and reading to my kids. Sunday is worshipping w/our church family, setting up homeschooling for the week, shopping w/my husband, and fitting in some family time. I’m a huge list person (which is great as long as I don’t misplace the lists). Hope all your vitally important “stuff” gets done!
I plan on enjoying my children this weekend. Nothing more, nothing less.
Not sure if I’m too late…
But my intention was to do school (college) work this weekend… Which I did do – but I also cleaning, had some friends over for a bon-fire and catch up, went Christmas shopping (yes! In September…there was a good sale and I have a lot of people to buy for :P ), and now I’m trying to get ready for a God-centered week….
Thought I did this already, but my post hasn’t appeared!!! Now forgot all I said I did this weekend so far!!! Laundry (had to go to laundromat as washer is broken), grocery shopping, cleaning house, strip and make bed, feed cat, cook dinner….woke up this morning with a terrible migraine, so no going to church to worship for me….went back to bed and when the headache was gone, I read several favorite passages from the bible and did several devotionals from the Proverbs 31 website….waiting for the race to start….and this is a slow weekend for me!!! I am the Queen of busyiness!!!
Hi all…I started this weekend with laundry….washer is broken, so had to go to laundromat….then grocery store…then housework…actually took a nap (yeah ME!!)….cooked dinner….got to bed by 10….woke up Sunday morning with extreme migraine….so back to bed….so instead of going to church for worship services, I have been quietly reading passages from the bible and reading devotionals online….some have really hit me where it counts and I have had to pray for forgiveness and guidance several times….ran across this giveaway and knew it was for me….I am the Queen of busyiness!!!!
Spending some girl time w/my daughter in Denver and went to the Transformed conference yesterday. It was an awesome experience!
I am taking this weekend to really enjoy my family. I am behind in my laundry and my regular cleaning schedule because of a visit from my folks…but, the laundry will be there tomorrow and the floors are not going anywhere. My children, however, grow day by day. They are only with us for such a short while, it seems, before they will be off starting families of their own. I just feel the need to put stuff aside and treasure them today.
Friday evening started laundry. Saturday I finished laundry, cleaned our first floor, helped hubby fix a leaky faucet, got my haircut, met Mr. Cowpie and his party animals for a job interview my 10-year old was eager to learn about and tried to visit an elderly uncle. (Someone, not me, had a meltdown and we decided this was not the time to visit anyone.)Today we have church including teaching Sunday school and our turn in nursery, an open house for our new elementary school and will try again to visit our uncle. The funny, or sad, thing is I DID say no to a few things! God and I spent a little more time together this morning, too.
Thank you for the devotional on Prov31. I get distracted, often. I needed the reminder to slow down, and let God lead. I’ve run way ahead of Him, it’s sooo easy to do. It’s soo easy to get ‘busy’, as I numb the pain around me.
This weekend I’m transplanting and dividing perrenials, and spending time with the Lord in His marvelous creation. Monday morning I go back to organizing my household, please pray for me?
