Skinny Crockpot Peppermint Mocha for #LoveYourLifeFriday
This Skinny Crockpot Peppermint Mocha is the perfect treat around the holidays!
It can be made for a cozy night at home, or for a holiday gathering with friends and family. It is a great way to enjoy the flavors of the season without the added sugar and calories in a traditional peppermint mocha! It also has 7 grams of protein per serving, making it a treat that will satisfy your tastebuds and your stomach!
3 cups Strong brewed coffee
1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup Sweetener that measures like sugar (or to taste)
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Peppermint extract (or to taste)
1 1/2 cups Unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/3 cup Protein powder (or dry milk powder or half and half)
Method:
Crockpot Instructions: To a Slow Cooker add everything except for almond milk and protein powder (or half and half/dry milk powder). Mix well. Turn to low heat and let cook for 2 hours. Add almond milk, and protein powder (or half and half/dry milk powder) and whisk until well combined. Serve in mugs or set heat to warm to keep warm until you are ready to serve. Top with whipped topping and crushed candy canes for garnish if desired!
