There is something so special when the loved ones in our lives can see the sentiment behind the gifts we give them. Those will be the gifts they remember.
Below are some of the most meaningful gifts you can give children this Christmas.
The Advent Storybook: 25 Bible Stories Showing Why Jesus Came by Laura Richie
Courageous Christians: Devotional Stories for Family Reading by Joyce Vollmer Brown
The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name
NIV, Bible for Kids, Leathersoft, Pink, Red Letter Edition, Comfort Print: Thinline Edition
Indescribable: 100 Devotions for Kids About God and Science by Louie Giglio
The Dig for Kids (Proverbs) by Patrick Schwenk
Words to Dream On: Bedtime Bible Stories and Prayers by Diane Stortz
You’re God’s Girl! A Devotional for Tweens by Wynter Pitts
I hope this list was helpful to you. Remember the gifts that get remembered are the gifts that had meaning!
Now, is there a favorite spiritual growth book or Bible you like to give as a gift? Tell us your favorites so we all can get some new ideas.

Ruth

I love giving books and journals also.
This is one of my favorite gifts to receive!! When giving gifts to others of this nature, I like to strive and give something that will particularly speak to them!
I usually each year have my kids make a handmade item for their dad for Christmas. This year I’m doing that as well and keeping that tradition alive. However this year something that is new, is I’m gifting 7 friends with the book it’s not supposed to be this way by Lysa Terkeurst. I’m in the middle of my adversity, as well as knowing 7 other women, each year I think I will start giving friends something that will help them with their faith whether it be a book, Bible, journal, or devotional.
I still have my action bible from when I was a kid! I love to give journals and bookmarks. I refer The Best Yes to my friends often!
This Christmas I purchased several women’s devotionals for my friends. I got the 30 Day Fighting for your Marriage devotional from Proverbs 31 Ministries. It has been such a blessing to me so far.
The best Bible I gave to anyone, was when I gave my mother in law a mother’s large print Bible. She has used it every since that Christmas in 2004.
Thank you for sharing your idea. I think am like you because I LOVE giving meaningful gifts too. Specially to my kiddos I love to giving them yearly books devotionals, mini books, cards, etc. with biblical principles to help them in their path, to encourage them, to strengthen them, etc. Yes, I think is wonderful idea to give them advent books to help them understand and feeling to true meaning of Christmas. Blessings! Merry Christmas!
I shared this post on Facebook.
These are all terrific ideas! Thanks! My kids are older so I don’t have a great suggestion. My 14 year-old and I do Community Bible Study at home. There’s some great book studies to do together.
I don’t have children but have bought Focus on the Family books for my nieces and nephews! Focus on the family has many great resources and I would strongly recommend looking at their library!
My daughter, age 11, has really enjoyed the Action Bible. She has read it at least twice, if not three times. I also have grandchildren that I always include a Christian storybook as one of their gifts.
I love these. I always try to get my teenage daughter a new journal for her to use in her Bible study.
I love your tradition!! That is simply sooo beautiful!! I like to get families the Jesus Calling Storybook Bible. I also like to get my good girlfriends & kiddos Bible journaling supplies – the possibilities are endless & they are so fun!
I’m so blessed that my adult children prayer journal. They count on Mom every Christmas to gift them with a new prayer journal for another year. I write a personal inscription in the front of the journal to both of them. In May my son graduated from Seminary so I this year I’ll the opportunity to write and tell him how proud I am of him.
Love to win this devotional from Ruth.
Thank you so much for this idea, I have never thought about giving spiritual gifts for Christmas even though I love receiving them, this year I think I’m going to pick up some devotionals and journals for some special people in my life.
I love to give a devotional as a gift — we always do “My Utmost For His Highest” as a gift!
The ology is an amazing book for kids. Also Hinds feet on high places. My kids love hearing these and discussing them!
G-d Bless
I will typically choose a devotional, journal, or Bible according to the person and what they are like and going through or where they are in their faith journey.
This is a great idea. I really like the suggestions that you shared. Thank you.
I usually give a devotional book and a journal to go with it. I’ve given so many in the past, I couldn’t name them.
I also have given Bibles or devotionals for Christmas. I love Lysa TerKeurst’s devotional “Embraced”. It has helped me grow even more in my faith this year.
We gave our children Bibles last year. This year we are giving them devotional/Bible study books.
I purchased Timely Reflections for my husband this Chrudtmas.
This past summer I have my daughter the What Matters Most book and she loved it so much that she bought it for two of her friends that are new moms.
