  1. I need to sit down and write a newsy letter to my aunt and uncle who life in a different country. It is hard to keep in touch and this is the reminder I needed.

  2. Thank you for the encouragement for writing a handwritten note.. As I finish up my Christmas cards… It is easy just to stuff the envelope and be done.. but I know the handwritten stuff is what is really apprecated!

  4. LOVE THIS! When my son was away at Oxford this summer, he brought me home some beautiful stationary. i think it is time to pull it out, and write some notes.

  5. I love sending “snail mail”, it seems to be a dying art. I love receiving hand written notes, too. This year my Ladies Bible study group drew a name of a lady, and then we were encouraged to pray for that lady through the holiday season, on our party day we are to bring either a handmade / store bought card for her with an encouraging message..

  6. I love sending cards and notes in the mail. Especially when I know someone is feeling down. Sometimes all they need is a piece of mail with a bright, funny, card to change their world. Just the thought of it and knowing someone took time out of their day to do it, is so worth the stamp and time.

  7. I have never been good at writing letters, but funny how you posted this and it is something that has been on my heart to start doing. I see how my girls get excited to get mail and I know how I feel when I get one. Even more now that most just connect through electronics Thank you f0r encouraging us to sent a hand written piece of love.

  8. I love this idea. It is always so nice to receive a ‘just beacause’ card/note. They can change a bad day/week into a great one.

  9. I sent a note of encouragement and gift card to one of my nieces favorite breakfast places! She lives in NC where I grew up. My mama had a stroke several years ago and she us in a home down there. Since I live in MI now my niece takes care of dr. visits, regular visits, and loves on my mama when I can’t be there. She goes above and beyond.

  10. My students are in the midst of writing letters to snail mail right now. We will be adding the “why I appreciate you” portion today!!

  11. Who doesn’t LOVE snail mail?!? It’s something people rarely get that’s fun anymore. Usually when I go to the mailbox it’s just junk and bills. Such a great way to spread some joy!
